What is included in Basic?

New accounts include a 7-day Pro trial, then continue on Basic. No card or payment details are required, and signup selects no paid term or renewal. Basic includes limited Quant and Verbal practice, and practice pages can apply usage limits. The number of public tests available is loaded live, so it changes.

What can I try without an account?

You can start a public Mini or Full practice test without an account. The Practice tests page loads what is available at the time, so the list changes.

Practice tests and scores

Formats, timing, what scores mean, and the limits of anonymous attempts.

What is the difference between a Mini and Full practice test?

A Mini practice test has 14 Quant and Verbal questions across 2 sections with a 23-minute timer. A Full practice test has 54 questions across 4 sections with an 88-minute timer.

When does the practice-test timer start?

The clock starts when you choose Begin on the orientation screen, after the paper has finished loading. Opening the list or loading a paper does not start an attempt.

Will an anonymous test survive a refresh or closed tab?

We cannot recover an anonymous attempt that is still in progress, so avoid refreshing or closing the tab. Creating an account saves your progress from then on, but it will not recover an earlier anonymous attempt.

Are Exambank practice scores official GRE scores?

No. Practice scores and analytics are indicative and should not be treated as predictions of actual GRE performance. If a public test is marked successfully, its result can show overall, Quant, and Verbal scores.

How do I report a wrong or unclear question?

Use “Is anything wrong?” under the question to report an incorrect solution, missing or multiple correct solutions, wording that does not make sense, or a formatting error, and add a note. For anything broader, email content support with the question reference.

Study plans and billing

Plan options, prices, the Pro trial, and cancellation.

How do I choose a 4, 8, or 12-week study plan?

Choose by how much time you have. Four weeks covers the essentials at pace, eight weeks covers the full syllabus more steadily, and twelve or more weeks leaves room for extra practice and review.

Does the public site recommend a study plan for me?

No. Public pages cannot see your history, level, exam date or availability, so they do not recommend a plan. Once you sign in, the template you pick and the work you complete feed the adaptive daily tasks.
